Fellow Toastmasters,

As your Lieutenant Governor of Education and Training, my job is to assure that the Toastmasters International educational program is well administered in all clubs in the District, so that all members can reach their goals of improving their communication and leadership skills. I am doing this through training of club officers, working with Area and Division Governors who in turn help clubs with the program, and obtaining high-quality workshop presentations for the District Conferences. My success will be measured by members turning in communication and leadership awards, and I will lead by example as I continue to give speeches in the basic and advanced manuals and take roles in the Competent Leader manual, thereby reaching my own goals over the course of the year.

The 2007-2008 theme for District 28 selected by District Governor Karen Holland is "Friends Helping Friends", which is exactly what I will be working with all to do as we all advance toward our individual and collective goals. Here's to a GREAT year!
