District 28 of Toastmasters International, the worlds foremost organization dedicated to public speaking training and leadership training, serves northwest Ohio, southeast Michigan, and southwest Ontario, Canada, including the major cities of Detroit, Toledo, and Windsor.
Toastmasters offers growth and personal development opportunities through the more than 10,000 clubs worldwide, approximately 95 of which are located in this area. Focused around club meetings, members improve their public speaking skills through impromptu speeches, prepared speeches, and written and oral evaluations of the prepared speeches. Leadership skills are developed through leadership training programs and through experiential leadership opportunities serving at the club, area, division, district, or international levels.

to enhance the performance and extend the network of Clubs, thereby offering
greater numbers of people the opportunity to benefit from the Toastmasters
educational program by:
Focusing on the critical success factors as specified by the District educational and membership goals.
Insuring that each Club effectively fulfills its responsibilities to its members.
Providing effective training and leadership opportunities for Club and District Officers.
